Throughout April we ran a competition where we asked bloggers’ children to design their dream bedroom for a chance to win some vouchers for Little Greene and Toys R Us. Image may be NSFW.

Little Greene’s high quality ‘Absolute Matt Emulsion’, ‘Intelligent Matt Emulsion’ and ‘Intelligent Eggshell’ paints are certified as Child Safe. In technical terms, it means they have been tested to British Standard BS EN 71-3:1995, also known as ‘Toy Paint Regulations’. In practical terms, it means these finishes are proven free of harmful ingredients and are completely safe to use in your child’s bedroom – for walls, woodwork, furniture and even toys!
We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to let your child loose with crayons, paint, pens and any other means they could find to create their dream room.
We really have had some great entries and it’s been fantastic to read through the various reasons and processes of the dream room!
To view a number of the entries and a range of images check out our Pinterest Board.
Here’s the top 3 and what we liked about them:
1st Place – Matilda’s horsey bedroom. With a fabulously imaginative design, it looks like all that book reading has paid off for interior-designer-of-the-future Charlotte, who’s dream bedroom is inspired by her love of horses. We went completely giddy (up) for thewardrobe’s yellow stable doors and green hoof-print carpet!

2nd place – Watch out Kevin (Mcloud), here comes Evan! His futuristic bedroom features a range of funky horizontal stripes in Little Greene colours and has even been modelled in 3D to show how the (extra) widescreen TV compares to the size of his metallic duvet-covered bed.

3rd Place – It’s ‘Cars in Space’ in Ryland’s rocket-fuelled room. Just like a top interior designer, Ryland spent a whole week fine-tuning the concept of this dream bedroom, including a rocket bed, planet light and a window specifically for stargazing . Presented as a multi-media collage there’s no doubt the sky’s the limit for this young man’s creativity.
