With Marylebone Summer Fayre fast approaching, Little Greene are collaborating with the Rebecca Hossack Gallery to host a celebratory exhibition on the 28th of June.
The fayre brings together the best of Marylebone to transform the area into a traditional English village fete.
For the event, four artists from the Rebecca Hossack gallery have created a range of pieces using a selection of papers and paints from Little Greene.
It is hoped that the exhibition will inspire visitors and encourage them to be creative and daring with paint and paper combinations in their own homes.
Gallery Director, Rebecca Hossack said:
'As long-time admirers and customers of Little Greene, we were delighted when they opened round the corner from us in Marylebone.’
‘Showroom Manager, Robert Paul is absolutely first-class in his knowledge of paint combinations and ideas, which we have implemented in the gallery to great effect. Our latest scheme involves Little Greene's ‘Orange Aurora’, ‘Mister David’ and ‘Angie’ and is going down a wow with customers of the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery. The Marylebone Summer Fayre Exhibition is typical of Little Greene's imaginative approach to art and life.'
The artists who will be displaying their work are Holly Frean, previously selected by Tracey Emin to be featured in a BBC Arts film, Maria Clemen, who specialises in intricate collage, Barbara Macfarlane, a landscape painter and Ian Penney who creates intricate hand-cut paper works.
Frankie Cherry, Director of Communications at Rebecca Hossack said:
‘We've worked with independent businesses in the Marylebone area before and we were delighted to have been selected by another business there and to continue working with the community. I think our two aesthetics are really well-matched. We too value traditional practices given contemporary revival - fine oil painting, ceramics, paper-making and carving. Little Greene's heritage wallpapers and paints collection works in a similar way.’
Exclusive work by artists from the Rebecca Hossack gallery will be on display in the Little Greene Marylebone showroom throughout June.
